April 3rd, 2020 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Nearing the end of the second week that I've spent sheltering-in-place with my girlfriend. Overall, the experience has been extremely pleasant--we're getting along well, and overall staying sane. We've been eating rather well, preparing each meal thoroughly and getting quite a bit of baking done. We've made three loaves of bread so far (sandwich, banana, rustic sourdough) and a batch of killer brownies. I am probably not working as hard as I should be on securing a job. I have gotten sucked into preparing a tabletop setting for my group-- we're going to try play-by-post for the first time, and I'm devising a sort of post-cyberpunk setting that has some good potential. Because I have a wild hair up my ass, and because I'm a bit of a masochist, I'm homebrewing a ruleset to accompany the setting. Once it gets to a reasonable level of polish, I'll post it here and on the html blog. There are two things that I want to get much better about: meditating, and exercise. I now have all the time in the world, but haven't carved out any time for meditation. I go out running/walking with my girlfriend on most days, but I am not really *pushing* my body properly, which I ought to be. That's all for now, I think.
