12-31-2023 - Happy New Year of Plan 9!

Happy New Year!  See ya, 2023.  Welcome, 2024.  While I expect 2024 will
bring no end of new shenanigans and foolishness, I'm choosing to be very
optimistic about 2024.  And, I have reason to be.  For one, I will be
continuing my journey into the world of Plan 9, as brought to us by the
dedicated 9front devs.  What's more is that I'll be continuing to build
bespoke CyberDecks under my FRST Computer name, with a clearer vision
for what makes a FRST Computer unique and useful -- as the best darn
Plan 9 terminal available.  :)

This, of course, is the FRST Model 3 I teased a bit in my last post, but
before I get into those details, I want to back up a bit to provide some
context...

You see, like a lot of folks these days, I've been growing increasing
restless with the current state of computing -- from witnessing the
inevitable demise of Web 2.0, to less-and-less sustainable / serviceable
device manufacturing fed by planned obsolescence and consumerism of
new features -- short upgrade cycles that rarely deliver anything truly
new or useful while consuming planetary resources.
