Great modular shelving with drawers

I am looking for a modular system with big drawers that will mostly be a bookshelf. In the UK. Ideas?
My ideal would be Vitsoe, but it is far outside my price range.
I am now looking at String shelves, with drawers -- also pricey but just about manageable.
I do see Elvarli at IKEA but worried about quality and it looks like a pain to put together. Also looks less useful for bookshelves.
Elfa might also work but the drawers look very wardrobe-y (am I right?) and this will be on display.
Tonn -- looks great but can't find out much about them.

I have looked at old systems like Ladderax on ebay -- tempted but I want to be able to add and subtract easily so vintage is trickier.

Would love to know any more ideas or anything I am missing -- many thanks!

Anecdote: another older design is Royal System. I have one of these I want to sell, but alas, we are on opposite sides of the globe. In Australia, there appear to be a few local antique businesses that import antique Danish furniture like this, refurbish it, then retail it. They might ask something like $AUD3k -- AUD6k retail for a moderate sized refurbished antique wall unit with a few shelves and cupboards.

If you look at local second hand markets you might be able to find someone willing to sell used modular shelving / modular wall unit for well below retail prices, but this might require additional work and logistics for delivery, installation, repairing any damage, etc. If you are unlucky maybe all the second hand stuff is priced for a niche collector/enthusiast market.

Tonn? And if I were in the UK, I'd look at Tylko.

IKEA has a habit of changing their systems on a fairly regular basis, breaking backwards compatibility, which is the whole point of these types of systems.

I'd just use "storage cubes". You can add cloth drawers to them if you want drawers, or take them out and use them as shelves.
