Profit & Loss

– You can find this month's P&L report here. The previous P&L reports are here. Note that there's a $9k increase in Contractors/Consulting, this is because we now have to send money a week earlier to the system we use for international payroll, so this month includes 2 months of international Payroll.

Admin

– As we wait for the incorporation of the MetaFilter Community Foundation, we have kicked off this year's fundraiser in the hopes to ease the transition process towards a community-driven non-profit and you can help by making a contribution, helping us build a Pet Tax Wall. We'll kick off a separate thread for the Ask the Mods Anything Podcast.

– We still haven't used the budget allocated for member contributions (up to $600 each month). If you would like to help with this year's fundraising, please let us know.

Moderation

– We are evaluating a few adjustments to the Guidelines to include specific wording about derails and ongoing discussions bleeding into other threads. We'll pay attention to this thread as well and come back to you once we have reached a decision.

Tech
– Kirkaracha is setting up the test server for the new site and we'll make a post about the next steps as soon as we are ready for testing.
– Replaced remaining instances where Cortex's email was still listed.

BIPOC Advisory Board

– Thyme and I will resume our work with the BIPOC Board next month. Please be patient as we get this back on track.
