The Ash Grove

It's the melody to an old Welsh song that I'm particularly fond of. Haven't been able to lose my fascination with it for thirty years.

I don't know if you've mentioned it before, but what is this room that you're getting such good reverb from? Local castle? Just some place in a house?

Anyway, good heartfelt playing as always. Even though it's Welsh, I kept hearing a Civil War soldier narrating a letter to his loved one over it.

My apartment building doesn't let me practice in the unit itself, but at the top of the building there's a shared use space that includes this room where folk can have parties. It's mostly just empty in the middle of the day though. It's not a great space for recording – you can hear the fan if you listen real close, but the reverb is fun.
