IPXROUTE

Displays and modifies information about the routing tables used by the IPX protocol. The command has different options for IPX routing and for source routing. Separate all options with spaces.


Syntax

IPXROUTE /?

IPXROUTE ripout network

IPXROUTE resolve GUID | NAME GUID | ADAPTERNAME

IPX Routing Options:

IPXROUTE servers [/type=x]

IPXROUTE stats [/show] [/clear]

IPXROUTE table

Source Routing Options:

IPXROUTE board=n [clear] [def] [gbr] [mbr] [remove=xxxxx]

IPXROUTE config]

Display the default settings for packets that are sent to unknown, broadcast, and multicast addresses:

Parameters
board=n (NT3.1)
Specifies the network adapter for which to query or set parameters.
clear (NT3.1 THROUGH NT3.51 ONLY)
Clears the source routing table.
config (NT2000)
Displays information on all the bindings for which IPX is configured.
def (NT3.1)
Sends packets to the ALL ROUTES broadcast. If a packet is transmitted to a unique mac address that is not in the source routing table, the default is to send the packet to the SINGLE ROUTES broadcast.
gbr (NT3.1)
Sends packets to the ALL ROUTES broadcast. If a packet is transmitted to the broadcast address (FFFFFFFFFFFF), the default is to send the packet to the SINGLE ROUTES broadcast.
mbr (NT3.1)
Sends packets to the ALL ROUTES broadcast. If a packet is transmitted to a multicast address (C000xxxxxxxx), the default is to send the packet to the SINGLE ROUTES broadcast.
network (NTXP)
IPX network segment number.
remove=xxxxx (NT3.1)
Removes the given node address from the source routing table.
resolve GUID | NAME GUID | ADAPERNAME (NTXP)
Resolves the name of the guid to its friendly name, or the friendly name to its guid.
ripout (NTXP)
Discovers if network is reachable by consulting the IPX stack's route table and sending out a rip request if necessary.
servers (NT2000)
Displays the Service Access Point (SAP) table for the specified server type.
stats (NT2000 ONLY)
Displays or clears IPX router interface statistics.
table (NT2000 ONLY)
Displays the IPX routing table, sorted by network number.

Switches
/? (NTXP)
Displays help.
/clear (NT2000 ONLY)
Clears the statistics.
/show (NT2000 ONLY)
Shows statistics, default.
/type=x (NT2000)
x must be an integer: 4 displays all file servers.
If no /type is specified, then servers of all types are shown. The list is sorted by server name.
