Colorado Senate contender criticizes Obama over police rhetoric [1]

Colorado Senate candidate Darryl Glenn criticized African-American leaders and President Barack Obama over their reaction to police shootings in recent weeks during his speech at the Republican National Convention.

Darryl Glenn, who is beloved by conservative activists like Sen. Ted Cruz, won Colorado’s Republican Senate primary last month. He is challenging Sen. Michael Bennet. Two polls from earlier this month show Glenn trailing Bennet.

Glenn spoke at the convention hours after his state’s delegates walked out in a protest over procedural rules they had hoped would stop Donald Trump’s nomination. But Glenn steered clear of that fiasco in his speech.
