You again?? Didn’t we just read something from you yesterday?” Guffaw! In the above art display, I give you “Still Life with Park Bench”, my only plein air painting, paired with an untitled zen inspired watercolor sketch that reminds me of melting bowling pins. On the second row is an ATC made for me by a wonderful ATC artist name Sandra Smith in 2005. Next to it is a very sweet watercolor painting by Bit of FloridaSNMOM’s family. Three of them have magnet holders but the bowling pins is a recycled bit of advertising propaganda that I peeled the paper off on and saved. As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care! IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news! I had to put it to use asap and that was today. I made this, the world’s largest fridge magnet. (That is not an official recognition, just bloviating on my part.) Here it is on the fridge now. I also found the cardboard in the form of a long, rather thin box with that great ribbing. It made nice little hearts. Throw in 5 tongue depressors, a bit of jute twine and ribbon and a couple of faux flowers. I know I am early for Valentine’s Day but as a crafter, you have to do the work early to be ready on the day. But it may as well be today because this is on my fridge now and will be for a while. The rain is due back on Saturday but it nice for the lull to let things percolate down into the soil. I hope everyone here is warm and dry.
