Welcome to what is the 1175th original profile here at “Fanatical Republican Extremist of the Day”, where we’re profiling the 2019 candidate to be Governor of Louisiana, Eddie Rispone, who was looking to deny a second term in office to Democratic Governor John Bel Edwards. He is a construction magnate with a terrible employment record, as well as a tendency to outsource labor abroad. He of course, demonized immigrants and immigrant labor in spite of this, giving full-throated support towards Donald Trump’s white nationalist immigration policies.



But when the Bel Edwards campaign called out Rispone on his racism, and a group supporting the incumbent governor ran an ad tying together the legacies of Donald Trump, David Duke, and Eddie Rispone, the Republican and his campaign lost their minds and tried claiming Bel Edwards was “the real racist” because his ancestors generations removed “once owned slaves”. Nobody bought that stupid line of logic.



We’ll keep this one short. Eddie Rispone is a hypocrite as a businessman, and after espousing white nationalist rhetoric, was SHOCKED that anyone would point out that’s exactly what he was doing. We hope he doesn’t take a second crack at Louisiana’s governor’s mansion in 2023.
