Meteor Blades, the standard.

Unfortunately I have severe insomnia and that results in serious memory loss. So, I have forgotten some names and I apologize for that. However, the point isn't just the people we automatically think of when we talk about the Great people on Daily Kos, it's the vast majority of users. "Came for the politics, stayed for the community" is a saying here for a reason. Why would people take time from their busy day to do politics? Because they care about right and wrong and want to make the country and the planet and the lives of others better.

I will quote a comment I started:

"But there are some amazing people and many of those amazing people are here! Especially in the first decade but I think the trend continued, think about why people joined Daily Kos and are activists. It's because they care about others and this country and the world! A lot of people here, far too many to name, deserve a lot of credit despite their humility. Meteor Blades I am looking at you - what six? Seven decades of service? Marcos starting the site? The staff? But the users !!!! My insomnia has ruined my memory but the person who has the amazing feel good stories, Teyve, the person who promotes our candidates, poopdogcomedy, thesphynx made a difference by a simple conversation with a well-meaning but not necessarily super informed person, Pakalolo and Lefty Coaster and the ph.d. scientist Fish Out of Water and so many others who advocate about slowing climate change, Brainwrap, who started health care advocacy and ACA signups and then showed the correlation in counties between (per Capita) percentage of the vote for the orange bigot and percentage of people who are vaccinated and deaths from COVID which is something I use to this day, Denise Oliver Velez, Daily Kos Elections,
