He would call with info. As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care! IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news! He showed up at home about an hour after that. He said they made an announcement that the hospital was completely full, there was not a single available bed and that if blood had already been taken in the ER department, it would be 5 to 6 hours before there were any results. Bill had stabilized by this time and checked himself out and came home. Nothing was going to be done for him there in the hall with no staff to get the work done so he just came home. So far this evening, he is not coughing or blowing his nose a lot. He says that he got 3 large amounts of phlegm out in the first couple of hours and his throat feels a little clearer and he can swallow a little better. He will follow up tomorrow with lab results and go back if he has more trouble or there is something found in the blood work. I think this is part of the process of getting rid of all the radiation burned tissue in his throat but neither of us know. Meanwhile, I am keeping an eye on him. He is letting me. We’ll see how it goes.
