If you don’t have Hulu sign up for a month (if you can afford it). It’s well worth it to see this sic part prescient presentation. It’s takes you from 1619 all the way up to the recent wave of state laws restricting voting rights that followed the increasingly radial Supreme Court’s gutting of the Voting Rights Act in 2013, in Shelby County v. Holder. It brings Black women into the forefront dispelling many persistent myths from America’s age of enslavement. Expect to learn a lot about things that seem abhorrent, but were accepted practices at the time.

We need to push back hard against Ron DeSantis, and his White Supremacists followers’ attack on teaching Black History.
