Well.... This Is Groovy. Kind, Generous And Very Very Groovy. [1]

As many of our brothers and sisters have already expressed, either in a diary or in comment form, they have been surprised and grateful to have been gifted a membership by an anonymous community member.

Skralyx, niemann, Gaelsdottir to name a few of late.

On Friday, whilst in somber contemplation which I allow myself every Holocaust Remembrance Day…. looking at pictures of ancestors lost in the Shoah, thinking of friends from my life that have died in harness in locales throughout the globe over the years and steeped in survivor’s guilt, and day dreaming of my dog and feeling very lonely for her and missing her terribly…. I received an email.

From Daily Kos, informing me that some thoughtful and terribly groovy brother or sister here had just gifted me a years subscription.

And my head space turned around just. like. that.

From a wide smile to the slightest of misty eyes.

You know, there are simply no small good deeds.

Because depending on the trial or tribulation a given person is going through at the moment, internal or external, real or imagined…. that small good deed usually is much larger than you first imagine.

To the brother or sister who felt enough for me at that moment to brighten my day, and in a sense my year, damn it reveal yourself!!

I want to hug you and most of all, prepare you a meal that will transport you to whatever global cuisine location you desire.

But if not, I want you to know how sweet and kind and generous you are, and how very grateful I am.

At this stage of my life, I take very little for granted.

And whilst I’m on the subject of sweet and kind and generous souls, there are so many here…. and you know who you are… whose love and affirmations and concerns and commiserations help me walk a little straighter, stand a little taller and smile a little brighter.

I know who you are, and I see you and feel you tangibly.

For real.

I will indeed pay it forward.

To my benefactor and to my dear friends…. I want to thank you.

Time to show a little gratitude.
