We will see if it works as well, this time. Here is the link to my source for songs to post: en.wikipedia.org/… I do not know if Billboard made a change, or Wikipedia made a change, or if I made a mistake, but rather than a list of the top 100 songs of 1972, my source only shows the 23 songs that spent time at number one. If each song only spent one week at number one, that would give us 52 songs. But many of them spent 2 or 3 or more weeks at number one. That is why there is only 23 songs. I chose nine of these songs, that I find fun, or intense. First two weeks of January: Very sexy hippie song. Truly well written melody, and lyrics, and well-done performance. Next: Last week of March, and first two weeks of April: Relax. No drama. Easy times, in the desert, on a horse. Relax. Last three weeks of June: That man had such a great voice, and such a great style of singing. This song was so light and fun, it charted higher than anything else he ever sang, as far as I know. First week of July: I truly like the voice of Neil Diamond, and this was one of his best songs. Third week in September: This band is currently touring. !!??!! Go get your tickets! Last two weeks of October: You might want to skip ahead to about the middle of this video, to get to where he sings the verses. Last two weeks of December: Wow. So smooth. Relax. This one was number one for six weeks, in April and May: So sensitive, so carefully performed. You can get lost in it. This one was number one for four weeks, in February and March, and I saved it for last, since I like it the best: What can I say, after that. What can I say? Okay, your turn. Here is the link again: en.wikipedia.org/… Feel free to search for other sources of hit songs, from 1972. Did John Lennon have anything out? Hugs!
