Just now ran into this story on the FAIR (Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting) website by Steve Rendall. We already know that wealthy corporations and people have outsize influence in Washington. But this article really highlights it, and shows how policies favored by the great majority of voters are sometimes ignored. We so desperately need campaign finance reform.

Republicans are the beneficiaries of an immensely powerful communications infrastructure constructed by conservative moneybags that can only be overcome by very loud and strong attacks. Sweet reason is not enough. Time to get the gloves off and start punching.
