ShelterBox Diary: Earthquake in Turkey/Syria! [1]

Well here we are again. Another disaster. The earthquake in Turkey and Syria is huge at 7.8 on the richtor scale.

ShelterBox is a very good NGO to donate to to help them.

If you check out the link about you will see all kinds of things to help people in their own unique disaster. Ukrainians are getting winter coats and blankets. The poor people without shelter will get a tent for tent people for evey 1,000 dollars. During the Haitian crisis in 2010, ShelterBox provided for the first tent hospitals for Doctors without Borders to do gruesome amputations on victims!

No doubt, with such a horrible earthquake now reported, they will have many desperate needs.

ShelterBox is indeed a very well vetted organization, that is supported by Rotary International. Rotary clubs in the United States raises funds for them but ShelterBox also accepts donations from the general public as well.

We here at the Daily Kos have supported this organization and have bought many tents for them just search ShelterBox diaries.
