No one's business but a health care provider or parent. Records should be kept in a doctor's office and not a school file cabinet. New draft Appears to violate the Hippa law. Insanity all around in Florida with privacy and inequality towards females. Florida is debating whether to require all high school athletes to disclose their menstrual history. Parents and experts generally agree that it’s important for student athletes to be in good health. But many critics say a new draft physical evaluation form by the Florida High School Athletics Association (FHSAA), which makes the menstruation questions mandatory, is part of the state’s attempt to roll back transgender rights. They argue that that school districts should not have the right to access and store such personal information as a condition of competing in high school sports. The menstrual history questions have been part of Florida’s athletics pre-participation form for more than 20 years, but they have previously been optional. Now, many argue that it’s time to remove them altogether. Here are the questions. What are the questions Florida will ask female student-athletes about their menstrual history? The updated draft of the physical evaluation form, published online on the FHSAA website asks athletes the following questions: Have you had a menstrual period? If yes, athletes must answer the following: How old were you when you had your first menstrual period? When was your most recent menstrual period? How many periods have you had in the past 12 months? Other than these, the form mainly asks about the athlete’s cardiac health, medications and history of injury. In Palm Beach County, the school administration began re-examining the questions last year after parents expressed backlash that the questionnaire would be available to complete online and that the responses would be stored digitally via a third-party-software. The software company, Aktivate, is vulnerable to court subpoenas, which many parents worry could be a problem in post-Roe Florida, where abortion is severely restricted now and such medical records need stronger protection than ever. time.com/... The FHSAA Board of Directors is set to decide whether the menstrual history questions should remain optional or become mandatory at the upcoming board meeting this month from February 26 – 27 in Gainesville. We need some females to mandate their own questions. They are as useful as these questions because not all females, especially athletic ones have regular periods. A period does not define a person. I doubt DeSantis know this since he does not seem to know a lot about periods or anything other than how often he craps and how to run away from reporters. Questions ( just to be fair should go like this) When do you recall getting your first erection? Do you masturbate and how often when you get an erection? Do you use male enhancement to achieve an erection? Do you always have an orgasim after an erection? When in school do you hide an unexpected erection behind a book or just deal with it? Have you ever attended to your erection by sexually harrassing someone? How long does your erection last? Granted, this is no one’s business. Neither is the female reproductive cycle. Florida just keeps showing ignorance. A proposed draft of a physical education form in Florida could require all high school student athletes to disclose information regarding their menstrual history — a move that’s already drawing pushback from opponents who say the measure would harm students. Florida high school athletes may have to submit menstrual histories One advocate raised questions about further stigmatizing transgender students. www.tampabay.com/... Fox news claims this has nothing to do with DeSantis but who the hell in their right mind believes Fox news? He is their golden boy since Trump is flopping like a caught catfish. This is what Fox is saying picked up by Yahoo www.yahoo.com/…,,,,,Uh notice who picked the Commissioner of this board? The association is recognized as the state’s official governing body for interscholastic sports. Its board includes a representative for the office of state Education Commissioner Manny Diaz, who DeSantis appointed. Diaz also picks three others to serve on the 16-member board. DeSantis and Diaz’s offices didn’t respond to emails seeking comment this week, but Harrison stressed the proposed changes are not in response to concerns about transgender athletes competing in women’s sports, as some social media users claim. Florida...The land of freedom….Freedom to know how often you change a Kotex….My, my what freedom looks like.
