I don’t write a lot of stories, but I felt like I needed to shout to the heavens for a minute about Republican political theater. Those genius insurrectionists read the Constitution aloud on the floor of the House this morning. To prove something, I’m sure. Firstly, I’m guessing to demonstrate that they are, in fact, literate? (Although I immediately pictured a classroom reading exercise where kids take turns and you can’t help but cringe at the slow readers. I’m fairly certain some of them would be nervous as their turns approached — looking at you Ms. Boebert).

But we’re not paying these idiots to form a fascist chapter of the Groundlings. Their branch of government has an acutal title — “Legislative.” Do we think they understand that? Nope. They believe their razor thin margin of victory last November is a mandate to tackle the problems that actually plague Americans daily — like Hunter’s dick pics . . . Let’s face it — nobody here will be surprised if we get another Benghazi hearing in the next couple years either.

I also wonder if it occurred to them that any brandishing of that “sacred” document would immediately remind so many of us about their failure to uphold it?

Sorry Republicans, but all the evidence points to y’all just not being very bright. (Exhibit 139A — mtg demanding an investigation into Trump not knowing about security breaches — not sure that lands the way you think Marge.)

I hope y’all managed to prove your point. Maybe help the rest of us out by telling us what it was . . .
