Marjorie Taylor Greene captures white balloon!

MTG brought a white balloon to Capitol Hill before the State of the Union address yesterday. Those who had expected her to bring it to the House chamber were disappointed that it wasn't floating over her ahead when she entered - - until they realized she had it remade into the over-sized outfit she wore! Actually, with all the hot air escaping from her lips, I'm surprised she wasn't floating above their heads!

GOP radicals were quick to pounce on Biden for not shooting the Chinese spy balloon down when it was over Montana. His reasoning was that his military advisors thought it would be a bad idea since no one was sure what it may be carrying. Theoretically, it could have easily been loaded up with biological weapons (such as a newer and deadlier strain of COVID or other virus) or something that could contaminate the groundwater supply or be airbourne if discharged. President Biden took what he concluded was the safest route by shooting it down over the sea rather than over the land, thus incurring the criticism of the far right.. Now divers are collecting and examining the debris, which could shed some light on the purpose and capabilities of Chinese spy equipment.

My one question concerning the dangers we face from countries such as China, Russia and North Korea is this: In matters of national security, why didn’t any members of the GOP question Trump’s motives for secretly meeting with the Russians before and during his presidency and for his unreleased communiques with both Putin and North Korea’s Kim? Trump’s pro-Russian views were painfully obvious back then when he praised both dictators effusively on camera. Yet they are ignored by the radical right, whose attention seems to be focused solely on Biden’s method of dealing with the Chinese. The arrogance and hypocrisy of harpies like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Bobert have them ensconced securely among the GOP conglomeration of critics expressing self-righteous outrage at anything and everything Joe Biden has achieved as President by denying his achievements and blaming him for the problems instituted by the Trump administration.
