In Australia., at least 913 cameras and surveillance equipment from two companies linked to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) are being removed from defense and diplomatic facilities. Hikvision and Dahua are the two manufacturers in question. An Australian cyber-security expert pleaded to "rip every one of these devices out!"

“The US and Britain have made similar moves to stop using Chinese-made kit,” the report added.

So great is the threat of Chinese espionage to American interests, CIA established the China Mission Center (CMC) in 2021. The USIC did not have to stand up a separate mission center to deal with the former USSR.

Too bad the US lost its manufacturing base years ago, now forced to rely on cheap Chinese labor for thousands of essential and non-essential products. Worse, many of these electronic products seem to be Trojan Horses for the CCP and Ministry of State Security (MSS).
