Rotary International is an organization that is worldwide. As many of you know, Rotary Clubs are all over in the U.S. in small towns and big towns. They are a similar service clubs like Lions club and Kiwanis. My husband and I were both Rotarians for a time. During that time I learned about ShelterBox and how great they were at disaster relief. One great thing about ShelterBox is that Rotary clubs are all over the world and so when a disaster happens there are Rotarians on the ground at the disaster site to facilitate that aid. They speak the language, they are the local business men and women , educators and political leaders on the ground helping to make the most of the help ShelterBox sends. ShelterBox is very experienced is disasters and earthquakes.

They also have an excellent rating as a charitable organization.

The really great thing is that you can donate a small amount because every little bit helps. And also you can choose the items you want them to send.

I have this tag because of you! I only fundraise here at the Daily Kos. If you check out my ShelterBox diaries I have written so many I lost count. (If I don’t write as much as before it is because I have a grandchild with Cystic Fibrosis so my mornings are very early 5:30 and busy giving her percussive vest therapy and then a big breakfast. Then get breakfast for my husband and me.)

But here I am, hat in hand because I have no shame in asking for money for these poor souls in such a disaster. ShelterBox has been there since the bombing of Aleppo and they are in the Ukraine as well.
