Simple Background Check on People Who Testify at Jim Jordan's Hearing [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.', 'Backgroundurl Avatar_Large', 'Nickname', 'Joined', 'Created_At', 'Story Count', 'N_Stories', 'Comment Count', 'N_Comments', 'Popular Tags'] Date: 2023-02-10 Jim Jordan, preparing the set for The Real House-Men of the Capitol Hello to Daily Kos, this is my first time writing, i do hope it is up to snuff. Jim Jordan is doing a hearing on “FBI Politicization”, and i want to know who testified. I haven’t watch the hearing, so i based the the list of people from this article : www.usatoday.com/… I dig the internet for the background of those people who is not in the congress right now : 1. Tulsi Gabbard, bassically a Russian asset www.politico.com/… 2. Thomas J Baker, retired FBI Agent He wrote a book, “the fall of the FBI: How a Once Great Agency Became a Threat to Democracy” Quote From the book : CHAPTER ONE ROTTEN APPLES OR ROTTEN CULTURE? Fortunately, the principal miscreants of Crossfire Hurricane were cast out of the FBI. James Comey, the former FBI Director who hovered over the mess from its inception in the spring of 2016 until his firing by President Trump on May 9, 2017, was the first to go. Next was FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, then the acting director. He was fired by Attorney General Jeff Sessions on March 17, 2018, after an investigation by the Justice Department’s Inspector General discovered he lied to investigators on four occasions—three of which were under oath. Next, Deputy Assistant Director Peter Strzok, who had initiated the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, was literally shown the door as he was escorted out of the Hoover Building on June 15, 2018 after another IG report. Strzok was finally officially fired on August 10, 2018 by Deputy Director David Bowdich. The dismissed malefactors have all published books, which make no apology for the damage they’ve done to the Bureau and our country. This book is a response to their fiction. Ridding the Bureau of these rotten apples initially gave many people hope, but now it’s clear their dismissal was not enough. The question remains: How did it happen? Senator Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee and Attorney General William Barr engaged in a bit of a colloquy on May 1, 2019, at a hearing of the Senate Judiciary Committee. By then it was apparent that both the FBI’s Russian collusion case and Robert Mueller’s subsequent Special Counsel Inquiry were grievously misconceived. Their dialogue directly concerned the fundamental question, “How did this happen?” And Senator Blackburn concluded it was the result of an “unhealthy work culture” at Bureau headquarters. some more quote : CHAPTER THIRTY THERE WAS NO OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE The Mueller Report established there was no collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government. Concomitant with that is a total lack of any real predicate for the initial FBI investigation into collusion. Yet, the cloud of obstruction of justice remains even though there was never a good reason for initiating an obstruction of justice inquiry. Concomitant? Another One : CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE THE WORST FBI DIRECTOR After a December 2019 Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Senator Lindsey Graham declared that “James Comey has done more damage to the FBI than anyone since J. Edgar Hoover.” That’s an unfair comparison: Hoover had a full half-century to accumulate questionable actions that tarnished his legacy. Comey managed to do his damage in just a few short years as FBI director. Comey and Hoover in hindsight is pretty bad, but comparing them doesn’t make sense. Almost there : CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO THE FBI WAS LUCKY TO HAVE BILL BARR The February 2019 confirmation of William P. Barr for the second time as attorney general of the United States was good news for the FBI—and our country. Bill Barr knows and understands the Bureau from his earlier service as attorney general under President George H.W. Bush. He understands the Attorney General Guidelines, because he oversaw an FBI that was guided by them during his first tenure as attorney general. If the Attorney General Guidelines had been considered at all, Andy McCabe would never have ordered the investigation of a president for “working against American interests.” He sure loves Barr. An the last One : CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE THE ABUSE OF GENERAL FLYNN The revelations detailing the abuse of General Michael T. Flynn’s civil rights by a cabal of FBI executives is shocking. Truly ugly. Even more concerning is a further indication of a cultural shift at the Bureau, which threatens far more than one man’s liberty. Jeffrey B. Jensen, then the US Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri, was called on by Attorney General William Barr to reexamine the case against General Flynn. Jeff Jensen spent ten years as an FBI agent. Those who knew and worked with him in the Bureau all use the word “character” when describing him. Later he worked as an assistant US Attorney for ten years. It was the efforts of Jensen’s team that brought to light documents in the General Flynn matter. As is appropriate, they were redacted and turned over to Flynn’s defense team. Many aspects of the investigation and ultimate interview of General Michael Flynn are shocking and demonstrate an undeniable drive to simply “get him.” Really… The Book is basically full of MAGA/GOP/QAnon talking point. 3. Nicole Parker, Retired FBI Agent She wrote an opinion piece on fox : www.foxnews.com/... Quote : Lately, there has been one politicization issue after another at the FBI. Consider an example: on June 4, 2020, images and videos surfaced online of special agents in their FBI-marked ballistic vests kneeling to protesters in Washington, D.C., while on official duty protecting our nation’s institutions. Although agents have their First Amendment rights, they are not at liberty to publicly express any potential political support while on duty wearing official FBI gear. Some claimed they knelt for de-escalation purposes but images revealed some agents clapping and smiling! They hardly seemed to be in danger. In fact, the agents posted at another building nearby remained standing during the entire protest. On top of that, there was no reprimand for any of the agents who knelt that day. In fact, many ended up getting highly sought-after promotions and were offered $100 gift cards by the FBI Agents Association So, she quit because of the those gift cards? 4. Jonathan Turley, George Washington University Law Center Professor Select titles of opinion piece that Turley wrote for The Hill : Jonathan Turley: Will the press ever cover the Hunter Biden news fairly? ‘An attack on one is an attack on all’: Time for a red-state NATO-like alliance on boycotts ‘We don’t do this’: Even Twitter’s censors rejected Adam Schiff’s censorship request Sinner or saint, George Santos must be seated Was overturning Roe a ‘blessing’? Only if Democrats can avoid the details of the right to abortion How the Sussmann trial revealed Hillary Clinton’s role in the Alfa Bank scandal The 2024 election may be a vote over who you want to jail, Trump or Biden MAGA/GOP/QAnon all the way. 5.
