The GOP could stand for "God's Own Party:" Michigan Republican Candidate Becomes Messianic Jew [1]

The GOP, so heavily influenced by Christianity, may as well be the Christian Party of the United States, or “God’s Own Party”. Take the example of election denying, Trump supporting, Lena Epstein, in Michigan.

Lena Epstein, who lost two previous elections (the US Congress in 2018 and the University of Michigan Board of Regents in 2022), is now campaigning to become Chairwoman of the Michigan Republican Party. She is endorsed by Rudy Giuliani.

So powerful is the Siren Song of Christianity in the GOP, Ms. Epstein, raised Jewish, now believes in the Power of Christ, becoming a Messianic Jew (some people refer to these converts as “Jews for Jesus”). Her running mate in the Michigan election, Pastor Donald Eason of Metro Church of Christ in Sterling Heights, Michigan, was the one who had “baptized me into the Christian faith,” Ms. Epstein reported.

Ms. Epstein had previously offended the Jewish community at public events, including at a memorial for the Pennsylvania synagogue shooting in 2018. They retaliated by posting a denouncement of her in the Detroit Jewish News.

In Sep 2021 Ms. Epstein was arrested for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend, but she was not prosecuted. She is an executive at her family-owned business, the Vesco Oil Corporation, in Southfield, MI.

If more examples of this creeping, proselytizing Christianity emerge in the Republican Party, the GOP will stand for “God’s Own Party”, if pundits haven’t already coined that term.
