before we get started...I want to draw attention to the plight of longtime Daily Kos community member, eventual employee, and DKGuild member, Christopher Reeves...never a good time for this...but while facing possible layoff just compounds the anguish.

Welcome again to Saturday Morning Home Repair blogging, where we talk about fixing houses and the things in them that are supposed to work for us. An ad hoc cadre of building professionals and gifted amateurs attempt to answer questions that arise from readers, and offer encouragement and advice for those inclined to do things for themselves, if they can. good morning: while layoffs are still coming...the good news is Daily Kos management for the most part agreed to the Guild’s requests on compensation and allowing voluntary buyouts for those choosing such...you can read the details HERE.

with that said...we here can get back to doing what we do...discussing our projects and helping others work through their home repair problems.

my project for this weekend is a continuation of the project I took on last weekend...building a new tack room for my little one and her biz partner...next Saturday I expect to have a more thorough update...but was able to get up there this week...making use of the little bit of undamaged wood from the previous tack room floor...I built a ramp into the new tack room...this will allow them to roll their saddle carts in and out.
