A personal tribute to MSU from a U of M grad. [1]

It has been a long time ago when I went to undergraduate school. Living in Metro Detroit I applied to MSU, U of M and other schools, I was blessed, back in 1987 to get accepted to all the schools that I applied to.

The first admission letter that I got was from MSU, and I had many fellow students from my grad class that accepted their offer. I held off, was accepted by U of M and made the choice to go there,’

You have to understand the feelings underlying the whole MSU/U of M process. Basically from birth on you adopt one of the two that you will follow and love, and always cheer against the other school.

Of my immediate family both siblings went to MSU, and I to U of M, Of my extended family though the split was more evenly spread.

Not a sporting event goes by when one side does not ride the other about their school choice,

But times like last night we all unite, For one day of my life I am a Spartan
