MT-Sen: GOP Poll Shows Tester (D) Beating Zinke (R) & Rosendale (R), Tied With Gianforte (R) [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.', 'Backgroundurl Avatar_Large', 'Nickname', 'Joined', 'Created_At', 'Story Count', 'N_Stories', 'Comment Count', 'N_Comments', 'Popular Tags'] Date: 2023-02-14 Sen. Jon Tester (D. MT) Hey everyone! I took a little break for personal reasons but I am actively returning to my election diaries. I wanted to kick off with Montana. As we wait for U.S. Senator Jon Tester (D. MT) to officially declare his re-election bid, the GOP released this poll yesterday showing what the potential head to head race would look like: x Favorables: Tester 56% fav/40% unfav Gianforte 61%/37% Zinke 54%/41% Rosendale 53%/42% Full poll here: https://t.co/PDGQkd6EHp — Matt Holt (@mattholt33) February 13, 2023 No word yet on whether Gianforte will either run for re-election or run against Tester but this is not a bad place for him to start off. Like I mentioned above, Tester has yet to make his announcement because right not he’s focused on his job: x YouTube Video Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.) said on Sunday there is a possibility of an object flying over Montana’s airspace after a search for a radar anomaly was called off yesterday due to darkness, but added the alert could be a “false alarm.” “There was an anomaly and they’ve investigated … I think it got dark last night so they couldn’t fully check it out,” Tester said on CBS’s “Face The Nation.” “There may still be something up there, it may be a false alarm.” Tester’s comments come after airspace was temporarily closed over central Montana on Saturday after surveillance spotted a radar anomaly over the state. The North American Aerospace Defense Command, also known as NORAD, said in a statement late Saturday that it detected a “radar anomaly” and sent fighter aircraft to investigate but the aircraft could not identify any object “to correlate to the radar hits.” The U.S. shot down two more aerial objects over American and Canadian airspace on Friday and Saturday. It is so far unknown what the objects were and where they came from. That poll is encouraging but another way to encourage Tester about his re-election is to donate to his campaign so he can head into his re-election bid strong.
