No Heated Argument. Just Cold Snarks. [1]

It is another cold winter morning and my washing machine crapped out on me. So I loaded a trash bag with wet clothes from the washer and dry clothes I had not placed in the washer. Then I drove fifteen miles to the nearest laundromat and carefully carried the heavy bag of wet and dry clothes over the ice in the parking lot. Needless to say I am not having a good day, but do not worry. As peevish as I may be I am not going to join the heated argument over religion. I will leave such arguments to the likes of Descartes and Hume. Oddly enough, at the laundromat I managed to entertain myself with what I have to admit are some rather snarky thoughts:

For some reason Margery Taylor Greene's antics at the State of the Union address came to mind. I was much amused by Nicole Wallace's reaction to Matthew Dowd calling MTG “Tanya Harding in a fur coat”. My characterization of MTG as “Sarah Palin with rabies” was not received nearly as well as Mr. Dowd's characterization. A female friend of mine said my characterization came to close to an epithet women find particularly offensive. “Although,” she said, “I agree that Greene is a destructive animal. In fact, I think she is Woody Woodpecker in drag.”

Alright, I just can't resist commenting on Nikki Haley. Her denials about kicking sideways not withstanding, I think she lifts her leg like dog. She is pissing off the left and she is pissing off the right while the middle ground she wants claim goes unmarked. Refusing to state your policy positions or address serious issues is not taking the middle ground, but maybe that is the point. For Republicans the middle appears to be a drain where the fascists dump anyone who still believes in democracy. Like Susan Collins, Nikki Haley has the backbone and conscience of a jellyfish.

I wish I could recall who said Mike Pence is “such a bitch.” Sorry ladies, but the epithet really fits Pence. Like Nikki Haley, Pence is trying to Trump and not Trump. I know the base MAGAs have a problem with logic, but this is a contradiction even they cannot miss, and few if any of them will tolerate it. Pence might as well just do the right thing and testify before a grand jury because the alternative is to paint himself as a dishonorable man who is whining over not winning. Sounds very much like something his boss taught him, doesn't it?
