Where does Guantanamo Bay fit into YOUR Budget [1]

When checking our budget or doing our taxes

(two activities that never, ever relax us)

We consider where we are spending our money

and some things on that list are not very funny.

It may be just pennies and to be ignored

or an item that’s meaningful and should be explored

Like the fact that each prisoner at Guantanamo Bay

Costs taxpayers millions each passing day

Do policy makers think we’re all dense?

Because this expenditure makes completely no sense.

How do you like paying for those guys who are jailed

and for a policy that’s not working…one that has failed?

Guantanamo is expensive, and downright destructive

We need to deal with it in a way that’s sensible…constructive

$13 million per person…that is the cost

Consider the money the we all have lost.
