Alas, I don’t know what happened to the fabric that had been placed over it, but being together at my father’s grave, this time including my daughter, with our Rabbi, was meaningful just the same. At this event, a grave marker is put into place and the monument is formally dedicated. Unveiling ceremony Time does strange things to memory. The year since his death went surprisingly fast, and I question how that could be. Time used to feel slower, when we anticipated his death. We have continued to honor our promises, and carry out his wishes as best as we can. I don’t know where my final resting place will be, in the end, I suspect it will be right there. Love changes us every day.
