This is a great looking banjo. Great for a duel, I think.

Okay, here we go again.

This week, I found the source that has 100 hit songs from 1973.

I found eleven on that list, that I felt a big desire to post here.

But, as I was looking at the list, I did not see any that I do not like. So, it would make sense to me, if all of you, my fine commentators, would, collectively, post another fifty or more nice songs. 1973 was a very good year for music. Seems to me.

Number 100:

So fine, so smooth. A dark story, but that Motown sound, feels so good.

Number 90:

Do you remember when the year 2001 was seen as the far off, science fiction future? Now, it is 22 years in the past.

Number 81:

I have always liked the great outdoors. Lately, I have been walking, outdoors, about three miles a day. So, this song goes well with that. Powerful. The singing is so delicate, and the lyrics are crazy, but they feel good. Especially that fate will bring my tomorrow, tomorrow.

Number 71:

So lively and fun.

Number 61:

The movie (Deliverance) was brutal, but this song was such a classic.

Number 51:

Such a fun comedy song! Makes me feel good.

Number 41:

Of course, as you listen to this, you will think of the train that derailed in Ohio recently.

Number 31:

Turn it up, right at the first, to savor that base riff.

Number 20:

I remember this song well, but this is the first time I saw this video.

Number 11:

“Little sister don’t miss when she aims her gun.” Very unusual song. I remember it well, but I did not recall that it was recorded by Vicki Lawrence.

Number 1:

Nice story. He did the crime, he did the time, and he got a warm welcome, when he got back home.
