Such funding would have to be on top of any funds budgeted. I am sick of seeing, for example, budgeted funding of education lowered/offset when lottery winnings are included. Education does not end up with any additional funding as was originally sold to voters when lotteries were first proposed. If we can not do this via our annual tax preparation how about making such contributions deductible but without having to exceed any deductibles (i.e. allow me to take the standard deduction plus any contributions towards tribal land ownership reclamation)? https://www.huffpost.com/entry/biden-administration-deb-haaland-interior-department-land-costewardship-tribes_n_63b86e01e4b0d6f0b9face1a [END] --- [1] Url: https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2023/2/20/2154041/-Better-late-then-never-Interior-Department-s-Tribal-co-stewardship-It-is-a-start Published and (C) by Daily Kos Content appears here under this condition or license: Site content may be used for any purpose without permission unless otherwise specified. via Magical.Fish Gopher News Feeds: gopher://magical.fish/1/feeds/news/dailykos/
