Just now my son’s caregiver told me the sad story of what happened to her dad who is now $30,000 out of pocket. He is not rich. This is much of his life savings.

He gets a phone call from someone representing himself as his grandson, who in a muffled distorted voice says something like “Grandad I’ve been in a terrible accident.. two people are dead… I’m in jail… my mouth is all messed up. There’s a bail bondsman says he can get me out of here ….here’s his number. Oh… please don’t tell Mom… she’ll be so worried”.

I hope these scammer bastards are caught and locked up.
