Happy Friday! Bit is mostly off Saturday (she goes in to help with Maintenance, should be home by 10), and then we’re going for groceries. She will turn 20 on Sunday! But Sunday she works all day, so we’re going to give her her presents and such on Saturday. As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care! IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news! It’s expensive, and probably out of most of our price ranges, but, I thought you would like to see it anyway. Personally, I am no good with using patterns, my dyscalculia gets in the way (lack of spatial reasoning). But I know many of you do. This could also be an accessibility device for people who can’t work with the thin paper patterns without tearing them (tremors, dexterity issues). Representation is important! Adaptive clothing isn’t new, but disabled models still aren’t the norm, especially at fashion shows. Here is an accessible fashion line at London Fashion Week, with disabled models on the runway: Now if only the prices for accessible clothes would become more… accessible. Footless Jo on adaptive pants. It’s a short, so it won’t paste and play directly. Hope you enjoyed today’s sewing episode!
