I was asked to turn a comment I made yesterday into a diary. I said I would see if it was covered at the time it happened, and when I did I couldn’t find much so I wanted to bring this forward. One of the criticisms against DOJ was that they were moving too slowly and very little of what they were doing could be seen in public. That started to change as the DOJ continued to expand their investigation publicly and it picked up steam to the point where Jack Smith was appointed shortly after Trump announced his 2024 run. DOJ just sent subpoenas to a bunch of the principles of the case to Pence, Giuliani (edited for spelling), Meadows, Ivanka and Jared and action against multiple Trump attorneys for issues surrounding January 6th. Much of that is well known and recent. What I don’t think is as well known, but is of equal importance, are the over a dozen state representatives over the fake electors' probe that started getting them 2 months ago. The FBI carried out "court authorized law enforcement activity" at the home of at least two people connected to the investigation, The Washington Post reported. The New York Times named two others linked to the alleged plot who have been served with subpoenas. 12/6 New DOJ Special Counsel Jack Smith Subpoenas Trump Records In 4 States MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Special counsel Jack Smith has subpoenaed local election officials in Wisconsin, Michigan, Arizona and Pennsylvania, asking for communications with or involving former President Donald Trump, his 2020 campaign aides and a list of allies involved in his efforts to try to overturn the results of the election. The requests, issued to Milwaukee and Dane counties in Wisconsin; Wayne County, Michigan; Maricopa County, Arizona; and Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, are the first known subpoenas by Smith, who was named special counsel last month by Attorney General Merrick Garland.
