Disco schmuck: Donald Trump is now the regular Thursday DJ at Mar-a-Lago [1]

According to Page Six, Sir-Looks-at-Eclipse-a-Lot spins the hits every Thursday at his posh golf resort/white nationalist social club. And apparently he’s a hit among the usual crop of slavering sycophants.

A socially connected insider tells Page Six that “Trump is officially DJing every Thursday night” at the members-only club. The source added, “Members know this, and when they invite guests they say, ‘Let’s have dinner on Thursday, because Trump DJs every Thursday,’ as an event.” During all the disc jockeying, “of course he works the room for votes,” the source said. “It’s always a very friendly room, since Mar-a-Lago is serious Trumpland.

So is he DJ Nazi Don or the Fleshy Twit? Or both?

Now, it wouldn’t be fair to begrudge an ex-president a little fun. And if this were fun for anyone at all we wouldn’t even mention it. But—I dunno—maybe he could spend his time working on the awesome Obamacare replacement he said was just two weeks away approximately, erm, 300 weeks ago. I’m starting to think he’s not a serious person.

According to Page Six’s source, Trump works “on an iPad — usually from his table — so he eats and plays. He loves the ’80s and Broadway tunes — like ‘Phantom of the Opera’ — and Céline Dion, ‘Titanic.’ ”

Wait, has Trump actually seen Titanic? And how long did it take him to figure out Billy Zane’s character wasn’t the protagonist? I’m guessing about three hours and 26 years. And does he really like “My Heart Will Go On,” or is he just playing it to taunt Dick Cheney?

According to the source, Trump also likes to play “YMCA” and occasionally some Bruce Springsteen. Which makes for a super coherent dance set.

I’ve often bemoaned the fact that Trump never bought the Buffalo Bills so he could have destroyed just the NFL instead of everything around it. Similarly, it would be nice if he worked on this hobby instead of vying to pretend to be president again. Because shit like this should always happen behind closed doors:
