The first chart is total US PV installation and the second chart shows the percentage shipped to the top twenty states. The drop is a bit disappointing and I don’t have an explanation except supply chain issues or unsteady government policy (thank you so much Manchin / Sinema). The good news is how the southern and southwestern states are increasing the percentage of shipments. Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico can and should be the leading states for PV electric production since they are soaking in sunshine (except when I visit — then rain). New Jersey is very impressive with 6.5% of all shipments considering it’s size. But look at how many southern states are getting more PV than liberal northern states. I am very happy with the Florida result as that is another solar wonderland. I take my good news where I can these days.
