John in Ghana attack- Brief Update [1]

John in Ghana was attacked yesterday and stabbed repeatedly while defending his son. The attacker then went to the police and filed charges against him, claiming he had been the attacker. John was ordered to appear at the police station at 10 AM yesterday.

I have been in touch with John since. I am not entirely certain of the status of the police charge. John is staying at a guest house and his host has offered him the use of his lawyer, I think. At any rate he has not yet turned himself in.

I sent John some money for the lawyer but he had to go to the emergency room because he was bleeding. The above is a photo of John in the doctor’s office I apologize if it is a bit gross (believe me, he sent me worse ones) but this is reality. In the real world there is ugliness and pain.

The little boy is staying with friends and is safe and well.

Meanwhile others are having problems because their benefactor John is unable to help. The matron has asked for more money for Anabel, the abandoned 3 year old girl we have been taking care of. That is just not possible right now. Homeless brother Joshua is almost certainly out of food money also, and Zenabu the new mother.…

We simply do not have the funds to help.

Well for now we must take care of John. If he winds up in prison none of the others will never receive any help again anyway.

John is saying he will visit the lawyer tomorrow. So the situation is continuing to develop.
