What am I missing here? I read people saying that the Stormy Daniels case is potentially a tough one for DA Bragg to win because of miscellaneous complications. However, while I am definitely NOT a lawyer it seems to me that since Michael Cohen went to jail for 3 years for his role in the payoff scheme and Donald Trump was identified as “Co conspirator number 1” in that crime.

My simple non lawyer logic tells me that since one person already went to jail for this scheme, and Donald Trump was undeniably a huge part if the scheme and in fact was the primary beneficiary of the scheme that Trump too would get at least a big a penalty as Cohen did.

I do not see anyone making this argument anywhere so I am sure that I am missing something. I am hoping someone on DK can enlighten me about this.
