A good Sunday morning to you, folks. I don’t know about you all but when I think about this month the first thing that comes to mind are April Showers. There aren’t many songs with the word showers in their titles so how about rain?. But first,

Last minute edit--I hope this diary doesn’t bring to mind the fatal storms we had last week. That wasn’t my intention when I drafted it a couple weeks ago.

I once heard a tale about the previous song--Eddie Rabbit was a successful songwriter before he made a name for himself as a performer. None other than Elvis Presley took this one to the top of the charts. Rabbit was thrilled. He went to an Elvis concert and waited for him outside the back door. All he wanted to do was shake his hand and tell him how honored he was that he chose one of his songs. But when he held out his hand to Elvis the latter said, “So I suppose you want more money, huh?” and walked past. With that, Eddie Rabbit swore that if he ever made it as a star he would never treat anyone like that. Apparently, he was true to his vow. No matter how tired or rushed he was never rude to any of his fans.
