Hiya venthooligans, how was your weekend?

Last weekend when I wrote this was centered around Muni for some reason. San Francisco Municipal Railway. After a long walk at the beach Saturday morning I hopped aboard the N to meet my daughter at the Ferry Building. It was a loooong ride but worth it to visit the Muni Museum with DD. She got to pretend-drive a cable car. Then we caught the 38 to go back to her house for the doggy, and I remembered why I never ride that line. It was a Muni To Hell! Crowded with nutty humans and took forrevvver.

Sunday I went to an art show that felt like Muni to Paradise. I could have stayed there all day-- an actual Muni bus giant altar, manifesting a beautiful kitschy colorful dreamscape with haunting ambient beats and bus sounds -- canned operator announcements, air brakes, beeping ticket readers, with just me and my friend riding along.

and there's has excellent paintings and textiles and film and video... SF peeps go see Muni Raised Me at SOMArts before it closes April 9!

Yesterday I walked in the SF Botanical Garden with my friend who first hired me 25 years ago at the library where I work. She retired about 5 or 10 years ago.
