The filing was made by CALL TO ACTIVISM and done so with information provided by this author. Ellis has a history of ethical violation accusations. Here is an accounting: Jenna Ellis, prior to being senior legal advisor to President Donald Trump, had an already checkered past that including being accused of spreading false information. After Ellis graduated from the University of Richmond School of Law, she served as the deputy district attorney in Weld County CO. During her short six month stay, before being terminated. There she only focused on misdemeanors including traffic with other areas like assault and theft. Ellis claims that she was terminated due to her refusal to try a case she felt was unethical. Jenna has a history of being accused of falsely representing herself with experiences and positions such as a Constitutional Law Attorney, (which she allegedly has no history of), and Professor of Constitutional law at Colorado Christian (Colorado Christian reportedly does not have a law school or constitutional law program and was only an assistant professor). Ellis’ experience in law has mostly consisted of prostitution, assault, theft, and domestic violence. prior to to Donald Trump being elected as President of the United States. Before the election, Ellis was for the most part against Donald Trump and his bid to become President, making claims he wasn't a “True” Christian. She also called him out over his inability to take criticism and believed he would not make a good president. Ellis went on to make other claims such as he is a threat to America’s liberty’s over his views on Libel laws and a threat to free speech. Trump Becomes the Republican Presidential Candidate. After Trump became the Republican Candidate for President in the 2016 Presidential race, Ellis changed her opinions on Trump. She claims after meeting him personally and speaking with him that she was mistaken and glad that she got to know him. Ellis in late 2018 started publicly defending Trump in the media while claiming FBI bias while again claiming to be a constitutional law attorney. In 2019 Ellis was hired as a senior legal advisor for Trump and his reelection campaign and she starts preparing for the “Big Lie”. The Big Lie Jenna Ellis along with several other prominent republicans, including Chief Justice Clarence Thomas’ wife Ginny Thomas, that the election was stolen from Trump. Ellis and others continued to spread misinformation on social media, right wing news outlets such as Fox News, Newsmax, Breitbart, etc., and print media, that the election was rigged and that Trump won. As we have seen and read since this has all happened, most of these cases have been debunked, dismissed, or flat out refused to even be heard. Public Censure in 2023 The chief disciplinary judge of the Colorado Supreme Court publicly censured Ellis for continually misrepresenting the election results of the 2020 Presidential elections and undermining the people of this country’s confidence violating her duty of candor. During this hearing, Jenna Ellis admitted to 10 public misrepresentations in 2020 claiming Trump had won in a landslide and was stolen. According to the New York Times, she admitted to knowingly misrepresenting facts while other outlets reporting she acted with a reckless state of mind. Ellis still denies any lies or “intentionally” making false statements. Official Complaint Filed Against Ellis On March 31, 2023 Jenna Ellis posted on her official Twitter account: Trump should refuse to surrender to New York and use this opportunity to work with DeSantis, who has said Florida will not assist an extradition request. If Trump is REALLY going to fight against weaponization of government on on behalf of America, take DeSantis’s offer and unify the Republican base. This is war. Because Ellis is still licensed to practice law, we feel that her statements not only encourage Trump to refuse to surrender to an official legal indictment, but also puts others in America at risk that may take this as legal advice and refuse to surrender if they are indicted. This statement sets an extremely dangerous legal precedent that not only is bad advice, but can put American Citizens life and liberty at risk. I’ll update readers as the case develops.
