Those Manhattan protests are looking pretty flaccid [1]

Watching the CNN live link and it looks like business as usual.



Most of us, myself included, will chalk this up to MAGAs bring lazy or chicken. But there’s more to it than that. I’m going to do something unusual and give the dumb MAGAs a bit of credit: they know there’s no strategic value to protesting here. There’s a big difference between one guy being arrested and Jan 6, where they thought they were losing the right to bully the rest of us forever.



Trump has a hold on the right, but it’s not because they love him personally. They do love him personally, but the bigger problem is that they can’t find anyone who’s better at what Trump does. If they do, they’ll ditch him. Whether or not there’s a bigger, more annoying asshole in the USA is anyone’s guess.
