You shouldn't be cheering or condemning if you heard Donald Trump's speech at Mar-A-Lago last night.

You should be worried, not about the ex-president's ominous warnings or threats, but because his words and actions indicate the possible onset of cognitive decline, mental illness, or both.

Don't believe it, or don't care?

Would you believe it or care if your seventy-six-year-old father, brother, uncle, or grandfather constantly made patently false claims about his predecessors stealing stuff they never stole?

Or, without a shred of evidence, consistently accused "others" of preventing him from keeping a job?

Or encouraged others to engage in physical violence if he didn't get his way?

Or consistently lied to protect his ego?

Or acted out in abnormal ways to get attention?

Or attempted to overthrow a steadfast institution that existed for over two centuries?

Or threatened a judge and a district attorney for daring to hold him accountable for committing crimes?

Or even once bragged about grabbing women's private parts?

What would you do?

Would you believe it or care, then?

And, if you did believe it or care, what would you do?

Cheer, condemn, or suggest a therapeutic intervention to hopefully improve the quality of the remaining years of his life?
