The NY Times today reports of a significant intelligence leak regarding the status (as of March 1) and timelines for the build-up of Ukrainian forces for their summer offensive.

The leaked information has been widely posted on Telegram and Twitter. Although some — such as casualty counts for both sides — has clearly been falsified, there seem to be likely-authentic and valuable insights in the leaked material for those assessing the offensive capacity which Ukraine is expected to deploy this summer.

This includes mention of the number of brigades, tanks and mechanised vehicles (such as Bradleys) which are expected to be available in coming months,

Well-known commentator Michael Kofman warned: “people should take care with anything released by Russian sources”.
