No impeachment of Justice C. Thomas. [1]

Maybe this will not be the most popular opinion on Daily Kos: I oppose the impeachment of Justice C. Thomas!



But why, you may ask… well first of all the effort is doomed to fail, it is a waste of time and energy that should and could be better spent elsewhere! Justice Thomas is the face of all that is corrupt in the GOP and is their problem, don't make it a Democrat's problem!



The GOP will — of course — oppose impeachment because they only care about power, not about Law & Order as they purport! So let them “enjoy” their utterly corrupted Justice(s!!). Of course, a true POLITICAL party would move to impeach Thomas but you can safely bet the farm they won't show that much integrity!



But the GOP has in the past shown us the way to deal with this, and other, issues: Add States, Justices, etc. to retain power and that is exactly what the Biden Government must now do, forthwith!



Add four new Associate Justices! ( Personally, I would hope Michelle Obama would be one.) That will deal with a Supreme Court that has now no credibility left whatsoever, and even though Justice Thomas stays on the bench his face would be a daily reminder of the GOP's true colors, nothing more! It will restore the balance the founding fathers had intended.



Would it not be the best form of justice if Clarence must sit on the bench for another 10 or 20 years, but be utterly powerless? And, once rendered inconsequential, the “gifts” he fails to report will dry up of course :-) Oh by the way, it neutralizes Ginny as well, two birds with one stone as it were!
