Last weekend I went to a regional psych conference with Dr C and some other students, and it was pretty good — we put up our posters about our research and talked to people about it. We also went out to eat, socialized a bit and went to Ikea and Buc-ees on the way home.

This weekend we worked on the new space the lab is moving to — same facility, bigger room — and partially put the new habitat together. Some of the women were also doing research at the same time, so that was kind of interesting running back and forth in the middle of everything else. We still need the electrics put in our new room and to figure out the pump system of the new habitat, but it should be up and running once it’s been inspected — so a few weeks?

My classes are going ok — got a C on my last math test, so I’m holding on — I really plan to study this break so I can do well on the final, which is cumulative of the materials we covered. Now I’m pretty focused on the lab and cramming in hours for a distinction cord for graduation to put on my CV — I need to get into this school for my masters, I am not ready to move to another program in another uni right now.

Also — it’s about time for my crazy shot and I’m having some breakthrough symptoms. Nothing dangerous or negative, but I need to dig out my emergency pills. Talking to Ben Franklin is taking up a lot of my free time. Like I said, nothing dangerous. Just weird and time consuming. The joys of psychosis.
