Gov. Abbott Must be Responded to IMMEDIATELY [1]

The latest face of Republican Fascism

I’ll keep this post as brief as I can. As you likely already know, Texas Gov. Abbott has just promised to pardon convicted murderer Daniel Perry ASAP for killing Garrett Foster, a Black Life Matters protestor in 2020.

Each time the Democratic response to such Nazi-like actions is insufficient or non-existent, the brazenly fascist and racist behavior of the Republicans becomes more normalized. I have doubts that there will even be a 2024 election the way Republican candidates are talking. Abbott is obviously trying out to outdo both Trump and DeSantis in depravity and has just put the murder of progressives and blacks on their agenda center stage and sent a signal that Republicans endorse such behavior.

This comes on the heels of a Texas judge acting outside of his jurisdiction to repress a day after abortion drug approved by the FDA. I think the Democratic strategy, or lack thereof, is a disaster waiting to happen.

The fact that Abbott would announce such a racist travesty shows they have no fear of Biden or the Democrats and believe they can get away with anything. Until Biden draws a proverbial line in the sand, there is none. One idea is, if Abbott actually is not bluffing and pardons this murderer is to place federal charges on civil rights grounds on Perry.
