On this date in 2020, 2021, as well as 2022, “Fanatical Republican Extremist of the Day” profiled Wyoming State Senator Lynn Hutchings, who was elected for the first time in 2018 to represent District 5 after an unsuccessful 2014 run for that seat. Almost immediately upon making it to the upper chamber, Hutchings got a lot of people’s attention for all the wrong reasons.It all started about a month after she took office when she accepted a visit from a group of teenagers from her district who were lobbying her to vote for LGBTQ employment protections, and she took the opportunity to ask the kids if she should then also be supporting beastiality and pedophilia:
