Marsha Blackburn Wants You To Know That She Grieves [1]

"I grieve."

Not long after a mass shooting at a school in her home state of Tennessee, Marsha Blackburn took to the Senate chamber to state that she grieved for the people killed.

While cleanup crews were busy trying to wash away the blood and body parts that are the product of slaughter from a high powered weapon of war, Marsha Blackburn reiterated, “I grieeve for those killed.” When it was pointed out that she has helped to block all gun reform legislation that would prevent these kinds of horrible massacres, she blinked stupidly, several times, and then said emphatically, “But, I grieeeve for those killed.”

The following exchange then occurred:

How does that help prevent these massacres?

“I have already stated that we should have more armed guards at all schools.”

The police responded in under three minutes, and many of the staff were armed. It didn’t prevent the massacre.

“Look. What do you want from me?”

Perhaps sponsor legislation that gets weapons of war off our streets. Or, maybe just stop supporting policy that enables mass murderers easy access to an AR15, their favorite weapon. You know, prioritize human life over guns.

At this point she got a little testy, and in a desperate attempt to seem human, she repeated, “But I grieeeeve! And I ask everyone to pray for those killed.”

When are you going to prioritize human life over guns and the profane profits of the gun industry?

“I’m sorry, but I have no more time.” And off she went to cash the latest installment of the 1.3 million dollars that she has gotten from the NRA over her career.

But what about all those people that have been, and will be, butchered thanks to your avoricious pandering to the gun lobby?

“I grieeeeeve for them.”
