What’s Really Behind The LBGTQ/BLM Obsession On The Right [1]

Boogie Woogie Man

Some of you may be wondering what the deal is with one of the political party’s obsession with the LBGQT community and black studies. My background in marketing and communications may be helpful in explaining this to the casual observer.

First, this strategy is part of a larger one to make the other party an unacceptable option. It doesn’t come from the elected officials. It’s origins, as do most political policies, are hatched and distributed by conservative think tanks such as the Heritage Foundation

,ALEC and the Federalist Society. These groups are well funded nonprofits backed by very wealthy individuals who could give a whit about gay people either way. They want a party in place that protects their interests.

These groups hire psychologists and neuroscientists to look deeper in to a basic human survival mechanism, wariness of the others. Now gay folks don’t pose any threat to you and me, (they tried this) so they need to create the perception that our children are vulnerable to “grooming” and even molestation that may harm them and in the worst possible way short of injury or death. It may be even a more powerful motivation because most would give their life to save their offspring.

So what’s the end game?The overall aim is to make the other party so questionable at a primal level that their voters will hold their nose and vote for candidates who might not be the best option that they put forth. It is part of larger strategy to isolate their reliable voters by making the other party as different from their core principles as possible; the most basic of these being white and straight. This is not a new approach, cultural/societal “wars” have always been the bread and butter way of tainting political opponents.

When SCOTUS took abortion law in to the extreme with the DOBB’s decision conservatives were not prepared for the backlash. They took some comfort that people weren’t rioting in the streets but the 2020 election provided a glimpse in their future with regard to their candidates holding a national office.

Their political opponents have masterfully and somewhat quietly pounced on the opportunity. Right now the conservative LBGTQ strategy is an interim step until they figure out how to mitigate the damage with something more substantial. A replacement that has the staying power of the “pro life” movement that reliably endured for over 30 years. It probably has locked in all of their candidates for a long time, not just the true believers.
